So is this built off the new focus platform, because the size and shape remind of the new focus. I know the C30, and latest V50, S40 were on the last focus platform and I'm assuming that Ford still owned Volvo while this was created and developed. If not, what is it based on? I can't imagine that it's an all new platform and sure Geely wouldn't build it on one of theres at this point.

I wish Volvo would go back to "Boxy, but safe" - lol. With the targets of the A3 and 1 Series, I guess it offers an option to the buyers who want a different "image". Autoweek has already dubbed it "Sven the Veloster". I wonder if it will come to the U.S. market.
