Duesenberg advertisements from the 1930s

I really like the "He Drives A Duesenberg" Ads....





And also... $18K in 1932 is a bit over $280K in 2009.

If you examine this ad:



You'll see that Duesenberg's cable address is "Dusenautos". I'm not too familiar with the cable address naming structure, but it seems odd that the company would misspell it's name in its cable address. It should be "Duesenautos" right? I'm wondering if this is a typo on the ad or if there is a logical reason behind the misspelling.

I'm thinking it's just that the name Duesenberg was manipulated from Düsenberg for English, somewhat typical for German names with an umlaut, and likely happened when the "Duesy Brothers" emigrated. (FWIW, the "ue" there doesn't make sense in German as they have no superfluous vowels.) For whatever curious reason they may have used the original spelling for that part of the address, perhaps in homage to their German heritage?
