Not sure if this is a repeat, but don't remember reading about this on here. Thought I'd share.

(kbb.com article):
With appropriate props to the past and an eye to the future, the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket rumbled its way into the LA limelight. Named after a 1970 Dodge Challenger concept car, this latest limited-edition iteration amps-up the visual volume of a standard Challenger SRT8 with its distinctive Stinger Yellow paint set off by black accent elements. It's a high-profile match that Ralph Gilles, President and CEO - SRT Brand and Motorsports, notes "speaks directly to the performance enthusiast who appreciates a memorable and collectible color that helps deliver even more excitement and exclusivity."

This new-gen Yellow Jacket packs the same 6.4-liter Hemi V8 found in the baseline Challenger SRT8. The 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque it cranks out heard to rear wheels by either a standard Tremec six-speed manual transmission or an optional five-speed automatic that also brings steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters. Either engine/trans pairing also includes a limited-slip differential will send the Yellow Jacket streaking from 0-60 mph in under five seconds. However, only the autoshifted Hemi features Fuel Saver Technology that can deactivate four cylinders during low-stress driving.
A new SRT-spec adaptive damping suspension underpins this high-energy super coupe. It's specifically tuned for the Challenger SRT8 392 and offering driver-selectable "Auto" and "Sport" modes, it endows the 2012 Yellow Jacket with the quickest turn-in and most agile handling of any SRT product currently on the market. To further boost its enthusiast appeal, the the package also includes a three-mode electronic stability control system, ultra-capable Brembo brakes and lightweight 20-inch forged alloy wheels wrapped in Goodyear Eagle RSA or optional Goodyear F1 Supercar tires.
Inside, the Yellow Jacket features standard leather seats with a contrasting Stinger Yellow trim band, silver accent stitching and embroidered Yellow Jacket logos. Dodge plans to limit production of the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 Yellow Jacket to a maximum of 1,000 units. Dealers will begin taking orders for the cars starting next month, and deliveries will commence early in 2012.

That looks awesome. I'm glad to see them tune the suspension. The high BHP muscle cars have always suffered a little in tight handling IMHO.

I think I remember reading in Motor trend's article on the Bumblebee (or whatever they're calling the Charger version) that they're slightly lighter as well. They need to take several hundred pounds off this platform if they really want it to handle well.

No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service. Wah!

ha! I bought that too. The article in that magazine was actually really good/funny. They were ripping on the previous model pretty hard. Removed all the 'comfy' features to lose weight, and their logic was that people didn't have heated cup holders and such in the 1970's so deal with it.

The superbee lost amenities, but the SRT8 still has them. So basically if you want to race, super bee, if not and luxury is your primary concern, then get the srt8.

RE: 2012 Limited Edition Yellow Jacket
Very badass, my brother has been looking at one just like this to get for my sister in law. He has his 2011 Mustang GT, but my sister in law loves the Challengers!

'95 Mustang GTS in Ebony Black (one of 1,430)
3.55 gears, full Bassani stainless exhaust from headers back, BBK underdrives, Hurst Billet/Plus shifter, '96-'98 tail lights, Mach 1 chin spoiler, chrome '99/'01 Cobra rims, Stack Racing CAI, BBK subframe connectors

And a few other tidbits...
